The Chinese Crested (also known as Chinese Crested Dog) is an elegant, affectionate, and lively dog breed with roots linked to ancient China. It belongs to FCI Group 9 (Companion and Toy Dogs). This breed is known for its unique appearance, especially the hairless variety with soft skin and tufts of hair on the head, tail, and feet, while the Powderpuff variety has a full silky coat. Chinese Cresteds are devoted family dogs, great with children, and form strong bonds with their owners. Although small, they are alert and can act as good watchdogs. They are active, playful, and enjoy human companionship, making them ideal for indoor living. A special trait is their skin, which requires care similar to human skin, including protection from sun and cold.
